MADONNA “DONI” ELAINE KENDALL   was born in DIXON, NEBRASKA to RAYMOND and JUNE WILLIAMS on 3/21/1933.

The family relocated to California in 1937 and settled in the Perris Valley area where she and her sisters LuLu Bell and LaDell attended Perris Schools and graduated from Perris High School.

Doni occupied her early adulthood in marriage to Jerry McVicker and mothering her children, Jerri and Michael.

Her achievements were many and varied as she enjoyed creating beautiful custom jewelry, being an accomplished musician and airplane pilot as well as a four times published poet while managing the office of her husband’s construction business.

After her children were raised she enjoyed her career as counselor and administrator at Valley Resource Center and made many friends there who she loved and who inspired  her first published poem, Very Special People.

Doni was preceded in death by her husbands, Jerry McVicker and Walter Kendall Jr., her daughter Jerri, her son Michael and her sisters, LuLu Bell and LaDell.

She is survived by her beloved grandson Jerry “Buck” Zeits, nephews Orrin Bellinger, Dwight and Jeffrey Willey, nieces Tracy, Robin and Sue and many grand nieces and nephews who adored their “Aunt Doni”.

Doni amazed everyone who knew her with her grit and tenacity and she provided all who knew her with an example to follow that will guide them forever after.
